Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby

Established 1996, this London based industrial design studio create furniture, lighting, art, and architecture and hold pieces in permanent collections around the world. They are a prolific partnership having made significant contributions to the design world and awarded an OBE in 2013 for services to the design industry.

Among their most famous designs is the Tip Ton Chair for the Vitra design company in 2011 which explored how movement can aid concentration. It is a testament to their dedication to ergonomic, beautiful and economic design.

In 2001 Barber and Osgerby founded Universal Design Studio, now recognized as one of the world’s most innovative creative design consultancies working in architecture, interiors and exhibition design. Their design for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic torch won them the 2012 Design Museums Design of the Year.
